Dr Aubrey de Grey seems to be an expert in his field of genetics.
De Grey was quoted in a recent BBC Four television programme about Time with a view to overturning the expected life expectancies from 75 to over 1,000 perhaps even 2,000 when all the knowledge of the human and animal genes are fully investigated.

From 2004 but still interesting.
Perhaps the age of an educated elite with Ivory Towers and Dreaming Spires will overthrow the waning neccesity of a sporadic liberal democracy that will possibly fail when the elite is self-perpetuating.
Who wants a break at 500 to study a lot of new subjects.

As I was maybe taking a wider view than some screen watching market traders do -
OK I ignored the real time five or ten year planning that really goes on in favour of a predicted collapse not through Marxism but through the books that Marx and other educated elites might read.
