Fife council have sold a block of public toilets for £200,000 in St Andrews and they will be converted into a house. Went on the market looking for a price of £50k.

I wonder how any developer intends to make any money on this save for demolishing the building and replacing it with flats - which I doubt the local authority would even consider.

I suppose maybe someone just really wanted a house...

Sounds to me like they're just wanting to convert it whole into a small house. Not sure if they'll actully make much money on it once they've paid to convert it. Will they be able to get £300k for it when they take it back to the market?
