Anyone know of a CD or tape for learning Gaelic please? I have 1 already but you have to follow a book simultaneously. I don't have time to do much of that, a CD or tape that I could listen to in the car while driving to work etc which doesn't rely on me following with a book.

Hey cymro,I have SQA 1 tapes that gives the English into Gaelic for beginners.Lessons 1-10. So if you don't mind about the spelling and not seeing how the written word looks on paper. Then it would work.I got these from college for my course. They also have an online program but you have to have your student id to log on.I dont mind copying them and sending you a copy.
I only hope it's legal!! Or at least not TOO naughty!!

I'm not sure about that babygael. I think as long as you're not selling it for profit, then it's probably ok.
What cd's do you ahve at the moment Cymro? There is a cd that goes with the 'teach yourself gaelic' book, but I'm not sure if you can use that independently.
Clì Gàidhlig have ten 'easy to hard Conversation cassette & booklet packs' http://cli.org.uk/cgi-bin/main?action=shop_items&type=P. I'm not sure what they're like either though. |

| Thanks. At the moment I have book and tapes called "Teach Yourself Gaelic", which is fine but relies on following the tapes with a book too, I've also got 'Lazy Way to Gaelic'. I would like something that doesn't rely on a book to just allow me to practice conversational Gaelic too along side the reading stuff. |
