Hello everyone, and thanks for the welcome
to your board !
I'm from the West Highlands Scotland.
I work as an engineer,
I love music, and play a bit.

I'm a member of Freetalk Scotland board.
Some of you may have already met me there.

I'm not political, not into religion.

I'm here to have fun, and a chat with anyone
who just likes a good blether.

All the best to you all, i look forward to getting to know you Wink

I know, but i dont know enough about either of these subjects
to seriously join in any debate about them.
So if i know nothing about a subject,
I'm not going to kid on i do.

Now if you want to talk about food..music..general chat..
I can do that! Wink

I'm quite good with computers too
if i can help anyone, ask away.
If its over my head,
i'll tell you! Wink

Well most folk here are quite into their politics. Just curious, but are you just not interested or disillusioned with it all and don't think it makes any difference?

I come from a family who's background was very heavily
into politics, i grew up listening to endless arguments, about
who was right, and wrong !
The arguments spilled into violence at times,
so when i flew the nest.
I chose not to involve myself in it again.
I do sometimes regret that,
But that was, and is my choice!

I really dont have strong opinions to voice,
but understand fully why anyone else does!

Same thing about religion, my family were very mixed,
dont want to say to much about that.

My only strong view on it all is,
There are good, and bad folk, in every walk of life.
I would rather get to know someone, rather than
make a judgement on them regarding religion or politic's.

That may make me boring, but that's it!
That my friends, is my story!

I'm expecting some flack now,
should i be worried? Shocked

Ah, Xcotty - I promise not to pick on you! After all, there is one special person I can persecute if I'm in the mood, and always many issues on which I can sharpen my political fangs! Cool

As to religious and political backgrounds, I'll bet there are lots of "stories" on this board that people haven't told. Wink

I'm curious about what food and music you like. Do you cook? Are you a musician?

Also, I have a computer question for you. I'm really good with Word, but my other computer skills are modest at best. I know how to upload pictures from a disc to an e-mail file. But can you describe how to upload pictures onto a discussion board like this one - especially if I'm replying to a PM?

(You can PM me if that seems more appropriate.) Thanks in advance for your advice. Very Happy

Hi Theresa,

The food question, i'm not really a cook, but i love to experiment!
Oh, and eat it too Hehe

I am a keyboard player, in a band, and used to do a bit of
session work, i love music, it keeps me sane! Wink

The best way to upload photos, is to go here -

http://photobucket.com/

- and this is what you do.

Open an account with them..it's free..
Its a password protected site
so anything you put there, is safe..
Follow the instructions, for uploading your photo's there.
Once they are there, below each photo, is three options, for
how you can use them.
For a site like this -"Our-Scotland"- copy the URL of the photo,
and paste it into the message you want to post!

Just PM me if you want to know more, or get stuck,
i'll be very chuffed to help you
Wink

Thanks, Xcotty!

Now, a little cultural lesson to finish things off: What's "chuffed"?

(I'm American - we don't have that expression. But there are other things Americans say - most of which is not repeatable in polite company. Wink )
