Hibs played really well last night, and probably deserved to win with two shots off the post. 17,000 Hibees in Easter Road - one of the best atmospheres I've experience there.
The second leg over in the Ukraine in two weeks, and after not conceding at home, even a score draw would put us through. I think we've got a great chance to qualify. Did anyone else watch the match, what do you think?

Watched the match and thought Hibs were the better team without totally dominating.
That was a decent team you were playing - no easy games in Europe now as Everton proved.
It wasn't really a game for spectators due to the teams being evenly matched for long periods of the game - I said at half-time it had 0-0 written all over it. _________________ "Every single person on this planet is unique. Just like everyone else..." - Random Guy in Edinburgh Pub

Yeah, they were a decent team. It'll be really tough for us in the away leg. Don't know about it not being one for the fans though. Maybe not the neutral, but the atmosphere in the stadium was excellent
I think Mowbray got his tactics spot on. 0-0 is a better result for us with the away goals rule. And Sproule could have sneaked a winner for us if the post hadn't got in the way |

I agree i thought it was an evenly matched game but imo i thought Hibs just shaded it. I think Hibs will progress and will sneak it with a goal or two _________________ we look to Scotland for all our ideas of civilisation: Voltaire |

If Hibs can get that away goal, especially if they score first then I can see them going through. It won't be easy though.

Celtic proved there are no easy games in Europe any more against Bratislava.I know they took a pasting from the press after the result in the first match, but if you watch it Bratislava scored 3 cracking goals that a lot of teams would have lost regardless of stature. In the second match Celtic slaughtered them and were very unlucky on the night not to go through.Hibs have a very hard match coming up but if they play the way they can then hopefully they will have enough quality to progress. _________________ we look to Scotland for all our ideas of civilisation: Voltaire |
