Do we now have a realistic chance of qualifying for Euro 2008?...

I still think we have between little and no chance, but maybe that's because it's probably the toughest qualifying group for any tournament ever, plus the fact I've been watching Scotland my entire life.

We still need 7 points to guarantee qualification, and I guess we need to take it one game at a time, but the game that currently scares me the most is away vs. Georgia. I think we are more likely to take a point from Italy at home than 3 from Georgia away.

Italy are playing Georgia, us and the Faroes.

France are playing Lithuania, Faroes and the Ukraine.

We have definitely got the harder run-in, but you can't argue with a record of 7 wins in 9 games. I think it could possibly come down to our last game against Italy. Whether we need a draw in that game or a win, could be crucial.

Regardless if we qualify for this championships or not, this has been a great stepping stone for the next qualifying campaign where we will hopefully have an easier group, because if we continue this form we should be in the pot of second seeds at least.

I think the Georgia game is going to be the real banana skin too.

I still think we'll struggle. I think we might have to hope that Ukraine do us a favour against France - meaning we'd only need 4 points (if Ukraine win) or 5 (if they draw with France).

I can see us getting four points from the next two games, but will be lucky to take 1 off Italy.

Who knows though. Would be great to do it in our own right, but I think we'll need France or Italy to drop points somehow.

It's a hard run in but we need to keep the spirit up.

We are on a great run at the moment - with Ukraine losing in Kiev to Italy and then with them dropping points in Georgia (although UKR have a game in hand) I think surely they'll all be a bit gutted and pretty much being out of the run-in, so hopefully they'll come to Glasgow in October & be a bit of a easier task they might have been if they still had a great chance of qualifying. I think even from the away game last year we actually played pretty decent at times and had them on the rack in the first half but maybe Smith was too negative and I think both goals were quite dodgy, didn't shevcenko dive for a free kick? so although a tough game, we can certainly win 1-0 this game, play it tight, compact and direct... hopefully scrape a win.

Georgia - such a hit and miss side, seen them against France & Italy and were pretty rubbish but they pushed us all the way in Glasgow and this game is going to be so so difficult to win but we need to go there and win to have any sort of chance to qualify, we need to push the game to them and they've lost Averladze but they'll be heartened by their draw with Ukraine and also have Kaladze at the back, They have Italy on the sat so you never know they might hae pulled out all the stops and gotten another point in Italy and quite tired come us, but saying that we'll be knackered too as Ukraine are tough just as well.

Italy at home tons of scenarios, it could be a meaningless match, it could be a game that both teams need a point to qualify - it also could be a game that if we win we qualify! It's going to be exciting.

We can match anyone on our day and even the world cup champions,

Let's get to October and worry and beat Ukraine, one game at a time Smile

I believe we can qualify and if we do I'm going to Austria-Switzerland on a rail card.

At this stage of the competition it is great to see Scotland sitting at the top of the group. Hopefully they will get through, but (apart from the Faroes) there are no easy games in the group.
