I'm not keen in agricultural subsidies at all, but this has to be regarded as a step in the right direction:

Good. I've seen too many stories of farmers screwing the system for their own ends, thus the honest ones lose out.
Getting rid of the subsidies would mean that we'd be charged less tax and the farmers would charge a 'fair' price for their produce.
