Where have you been?

Where do you want to go?

What interesting places/things have you seen on your travels? - the thread for all of this sort of discussion is below.

Well I'll start of.

First of all, the 2 places I want to see in great detail are New Zealand and Japan. I also fancy a trip to Cuba before Castro dies just to see what it's like there........

I've only really travelled within North America and Europe which isn't a lot of the world to see in this modern age so hope to add the above to my list over the next couple of years.

Anyone have any experiences of New Zealand, Japan or Cuba - is there anything I really need to know?

I've lived in...

Kansas, USA (1 year)
Pennsylvania, USA (2 years)
Panama City, Panama (2 years)
Heidelberg, Germany (2 years)
Brussels, Belgium (2 years)
New York City, USA (3 years)
Current location near Washington D.C., USA (3 years)

Really want to go to Ireland (going to university and then hopefully emigrate there), Scotland, Belgium, Norway, Iceland...

I just can't find an interest out of Europe it seems Sad

Barcelona is a fantastic city. Been there a couple of times. Prague and Rome are my other favourite European cities. Aim is to try and go to all the capital cities in Europe. Still got plenty to go. Reykjavik is probably top of the list though.

Rs, I've been to Japan (Tokyo) briefly. Amazing place. I'd really love to go back and spend a bit of time there and travel about. I'd also recomend going with someone who speaks the language. Most folk don't speak English.

Been about the east coast US a bit. Not in New York though. Thought Boston was a really nice city. Not that fussed about going back to the US.

My dream holiday would probably be to the ancient Inca and Aztec sites in S America. I'd love to spend some time in south east asia as well.
