Monty is the clubhouse leader in the US Open. There are still a few rounds to complete, but it is looking good so far.

He's a player that deserves a major. Although in the past his bottle has let him down. Lets just hope he can pull it off.

| Finished with Monty one shot ahead. Can't see him winning it though, he's had his chance in the past. No-one would grudge him if he did though. |

Monty is in the strongest position to win a major he has been in for years.
He was in the joint lead entering the back nine at 4 over par, but Mickleson has just holed a birdie to go one shot ahead.
