Looks a lot less opportunistic this time around, however, given the SNP candidate does genuinely appear to be a bit of a bible thumper himself.

I think if Mason is going to use language like "from a faith-community background", he is spoiling his chances and leading himself and his party into a spider's web.

What is his position on abortion anyway for or against? I am sure not only myself but other socialists in the Scottish Left would like to know.

At least socialists have principles and loyalty to party position on such important issues and are not expected to have the moral or religous freedom enjoyed by the capitalist liberal parties.
