'Two Gags' PrescottNo doubt that Prescott does have some kind of eating disorder, but is the timing of this really coincidence? Brown is at his lowest eb in the media.
Suspected similar for the secretary thing, the timing of that revelation did not appear to be forced either, but was 'useful'.
Just a thought.

Don't know the story chickmac, do you have a link?

It should be on the BBC website http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7357008.stm
Also I think it has nothing to do with Brown, more to do with his book.

You may well be right, if not his bio a near future "Beat Bulimia - The Prescott Diet".
I really don't see a fitness video on the horizon.
However timing takes various factors into account. e.g. too late for final edits for this weeks 'Bremner, Bird and Fortune' (he is a particular favourite of the show).

Prescott makes us all sick
Remember as Transport Secretary he told the Liebour conference...
"Branson, we're watching you!" (With regard to improvements to rolling stock etc). Much reported in the media at the time. Less reported though, was the compensation paid to Virgin Trains for the purchase of tilting trains which (I think still are) unable to tilt on the Victorian lines they operate on!
Why, oh why was this pillock ever regarded as a 'heavy weight' (pardon the pun) with the Liebour Party?

I always believed Prescott knew where the bodies were buried and that was the only reason he rose as high as he did in the Labour hierarchy.

I hate to sound unpleasant, but that's really not that funny. Neither was 'Nu Labour' (whatever that's supposed to mean' or misspelling Blair as Bliar.

Not a bad theory, that.

Maybe he just misinterpreted the 'Manual of Bulimia' i.e.
1) Eat.
2) Induce vomiting.
Would explain a lot.

I liked John Prescott for some reason. I liked his frankness, like on the Trinidad and Tobago trip when he went "Well I get an effing free holiday". It's nice to have characters like him in politics, it makes it easier to relate to and makes it more interesting.

He does have a certain Les Dawson likeable rogue quality.

Noted. In reply to your posts in the future I shall abstain from such remarks.
Chill though, 'ave-a-tinny-man! (And yes, I won't do that again either.)
