Yep some interesting comments indeed,

if you replaced "scots" "scotland" or "the scots" with any other ethnic group, I think you would be up on a race charge..

I'll still be voting for big Eck in May
George

Christ!!....I've just read around 30 of the comments, who the hell are these people.

I have to admit that I have never witnessed such sneering arrogance and ignorance. They so believe in their own superiority that it is breathtaking. I wonder if the majority of the posters are a product of English public schooling or close to it?

The Scot's have for so long been labelled as having an identity that was based on nothing more than anti-English.....but how would you label what was demonstrated here, a loathing and contempt not just for Scotland but in some cases Ireland. If these people are an example of the English ruling class then Independence cannot come quick enough.

Aye, interesting comments indeed. Rolling Eyes

Maybe I'll let a post in the comment section of the Herald answer some of these rabid bampots commenting in the Telewag.

You'll have to scroll down the comment section to find it but it's worth a read.

Ian Forester, commenting at 12.10 pm. Headlines you'll never never ever read - Other nations wouldn't put up with it. Laughing

It amazes, the ignorance, arrogance and sheer contempt of some.
mairead

You can't blame the ordinary English person too much for the ignorance displayed in some of their comments. They have been raised on lies and damn lies which have been fed to them ovcer the years.

Am I right in thinking that the Telegraph is the most popular of all the English broadsheets?
kevin04

I think it is the most popular broadsheet slg,

It is quite disturbing the underlying anti-Scottish feeling. I think it's worse than the anti-English feeling you get here - it's just here it rears its head much more often as there are a lot more English people living here and we our media is mostly English based. Scotland has been an irrelevance to most in England for so long that it has taken devolution to bring these feelings to the fore again.
