Can Other Animals Be Gay Too?

My girlfriend and I are 'dog sitting' at the moment.

My German friend and his wife are on holiday in London for the weekend and asked if we could look after his dog for him.

Now I know it sounds wierd but he told me his dog was gay. I laughed thinking he was bantering about how placid his dog was. Now we don't believe he was joking.

This is an absolutely great dog with a nice tempriment. And we already see he fits certain steriotypes..... if he were human..... and why not?

I'm certainly not homophobic, nor is my girlfriend, it's just something we never considered before. I mean, in education terms we're told that us humans and only a FEW OTHER species have sex for pleasure as opposed to instinct.

What's your thoughts? Similarly surprised?

He "fits certain steriotypes (sic)"  and you're not homophobic ?

Pull the other one .

PC gone crazy or what? How would you phrase my post? I notice you did not respond to my general question, and why? Afraid of being homophobic yourself? Geez a brek! It's about nature.... not your nurture!

I have read many of your posts before my friend, and unless you can show me why not. This one sucks!

Try here for an answer.

If it is gay then maybe you could give it a tablet to cure it.

Can you cure gayness?

Can sodomy and a lust for the same gender be addressed?

Homophobia is another one of these stupid PC words that means very little.

We should be looking at whether gayness can be reversed.
magister ludi

OK, i'll play.....if you'll let me join in:

What kind of dog is it your german friend has?

Is it an arsesation?

Is it a rootweiller?

is it a bare-bum boxer?

is it a boykin spaniel?

an assenpincher?

a cocker?  ( naw, didn't think so)

what about a .......Finnish and Spitz ?

Thanks for the link TLJ. Obviously, someone else thought it was worth commenting about. I appologise if I seemed curt. It's just that (whatever you believe) I'm not homophobic.

I don't believe gay people want to be 'cured', yet reversing hetrosexuality means that there would be fewer population to exploit. Perhaps not a seriously bad thing. Screwers would need to be more attractive, perhaps, giving VFM! Instead of subscribing to rip off UK. No, not the clothing....  Wink

Seriously was not playing. I've learned something. Something not taught in schools, perhaps, I should have just 'googled', trouble with that though is that you'd have learned cocksall.

languages evolve.... do you in your own lifetime? I know I might be contradicting myself alittle about PC, yet I'm adressing your premise, not your words.

No problem - my apologies for suggesting so.

Homosexuality is a wonderful way of promoting pack harmony if there's a gender imbalance. Makes perfect evolutionary sense to me.

I'm away for one week and you're reduced to discussing gay dugs?  Shocked

I saw two seagulls shagging on a chimney yesterday. I don't know whether they where both male but they certainly looked like they where enjoying themselves.

Can't help wondering, that maybe.... somewhere in the animal kingdom, there will be discovered (possibly), an example of a couple of Gay squirrels, bringing up an orphaned baby squirrel, or something.

I know there is for example of B*****s bringing up kittens, as much as we do for other animals, yet same gender... same species.... could it be we're still catching up on the rest of the animal kingdom? Worth the queston?

I'm going to try googleing it tomorrow.... What's the betting TLJ gets there first?

In prisons perhaps? But does that mean we stop breading criminals?

That's not a bad example! Not so sure about the second part though, although I'm sure many are battered.

A bit tounge in cheek.... and a good battering didn't stop them following a life of crime either.  Wink

Gay squirrels are fine, its when the greys and the reds start going with each other, that's when I'll get worried!

Been known to make them on long wild camping trips when there are no leaves available.

They're soft, strong and the tails are very, very long  Laughing

Back on the subject of homosexuality, here's a very fun link worth reading:

http://www.holysmoke.org/temp/homophobia_and_homosexual_arousal.pdf

The details of the procedure on the third page are worth a read. I love the idea of a "penile strain guage"!

Although all giggles aside, its a rather enlightening piece of research, and worth reading properly.
agentmancuso

Interesting stuff.

Quote:

Homophobia is apparently associated with homosexual arousal that the homophobic individual is either unaware of or denies.

Makes sense.

Makes perfect sense. Won't be telling any of my 'homophobic' friends though.  Laughing
