CLARIFICATION RE MEETINGIt's been suggested to me that what I wrote previously about the next
general meeting of Independence First did not make it clear enough
whether this was a private meeting or a public one. Well I thought
it was clear enough but maybe some folk are more easily confused.
So let's try again :
The next all-Scotland general meeting of Independence First,
the campaign for a referendum on independence for Scotland,
will be held this coming Sunday, 28th January, from 12.45pm
to 4pm, in the Civil Service Club, 11 Saint Leonards Bank, Perth.
An Independence First general meeting is open to all MEMBERS
of Independence First, and is the decision making body of our
campaign. This is NOT a public meeting in the sense of being
a meeting open to absolutely anybody including even opponents
of our campaign, however, some SUPPORTERS of our campaign
have shown up at every general meeting we have ever had,
and have joined Independence First AT the meeting, and we
expect some supporters, as well as present members, will
show up on the 28th. So , if you are supportive of our campaign,
but not yet a member, please do come along and play your
part in making big strides towards our goal of a referendum
on independence, leading to actual independence, as soon as
possible. Our meeting venue is in the centre of Perth, very near
the railway station, bus station, large car parks, etc. As for finding
it, well you should find Tay Street easy enough, it’s the street
beside the River Tay! Marshall Place runs at right angles
from the “downstream” end of Tay Street. St Leonards Bank
is a few hundred yards up Marshall Place, on the left. Turn
into Saint Leonards Bank and the Civil Service Club will be
the big building with “Civil Service Club” on it.
