We will be joined on Saturday by two tenants from Pinkston in Sighthill, where they have persuaded the Glasgow Housing Association to rethink demolition plans.
MEETING ON SATURDAY 12TH JULY
We have arranged a
joint meeting with the Scottish Tenants' Organisation
at Number 10 Constitution Road from 2pm on Saturday. This will be an opportunity to discuss how the situation and campaign in Dundee fits into the bigger Scottish picture - to learn more about the 'Scotland for Council Housing' campaign, discuss how to respond to attempts to set 'official' tenants' groups against independent organisations, and hear about what has been happening in other areas. I will also report (briefly) on my recent meeting with housing campaigners in Liverpool, and we could look at possible impacts of the growing recession.
So please bring your ideas, your questions and any interested friends and neighbours!
