Glencoe

Who went today ? If you didnt go why not? These events espec this year should be more attended with the elections coming up. More media input more exposure to the anti-scottishness from english goverment.

I travelled through Glencoe the other day. The place as a bit of an eerie atmosphere to it.

By chance I was indeed at Glencoe on Monday.

Certainly did have an eerie feel that afternoon...

It was Monday night I was travelling through, en route to Fort William from Glasgow.

Was there some event held at the area or something?

I'd imagine there would be a private gathering arranged by the MacDonalds - it might not have been at Glencoe though...

There was a united celebration on Sunday conducted by the SRSM (we do an annual rally), Crann Tara, Siol nan Gaidheal and Na Fir Dileas. Previously various different groups commemorated separately for various reasons.

I was one of the co-organisers. I hadn't posted it up here because for a couple of weeks I was a bit pissed off at the amount of brit posters on this forum (sorry... just being honest).

I met darkside up there, as well as a few others who are on here and other forums I know.

We don't ban people because of their political persuasions Firefox. I actively encourage everyone here in order to sharpen the nationalist argument and push it forward positively.

What's the point of having a forum where you have a bunch of nationalists all just agreeing with something that's posted, or create an environment where nationalists argue with other nationalists about which path to take and cause friction - what good could come from that?

sorry for the rant, but we're not a closed shop...

I know that man, and I don't mind the rant (in fact I actively encourage it).

It's just I'm tired of the chase. That's not your problem (or Aventinians or Highlanders). It's my own.

I've done this shinto for so long that even I need my batteries recharged.

Don't give up the fight now mate.

For a first time in a long time we are potentially on the verge of significant change.

One good result for the pro-independence parties in May (only 2 and a half months away) and we could move a significant step closer to independence.

At times it seems that the world and his dog is against us, but I am confident that the Scottish public are sick to the back teeth of this ineffective Lib/Lab government and the Unionist rhetoric. They are ready for change and it is up to us to deliver.

Keep the faith man Cool

Cheers!

I don't despair of the Nats, but of the mumbling automatons who are true brits. They seem dedicated to the painful union. It's as if they WON'T be persuaded. It's just that they roll out the futile arguments from a lifetime past and want to be the same, arrogant, moronic and distant morons that spawn a thousand empires.

Excuse my ignorance on the Glencoe gathering. I am assuming it is a remembrance to the massacre.

What is the format of these gatherings and who generally attends?

Has there been much going on at Bannockburn these last few years. I know there used to be commerations etc.. on the anniversary date.

Curious.. Corby
