Rangers are a Scottish team as well. There was a time when they used to emphasize their Scottishness a lot more back when it was fashionable not to:-
Supporting Scotland in the Home Internationals tended to be viewed as being an anti-establishment statement when Rangers supporters clubs used to make the Wembley trip every second year. Now that being Scottish rather than British is in vogue the way to swim against the tide is to make a British statement.

Normally I would be quite happy to see an underdog finally get some silverware but given the fixture congestion fiasco that others refused to resolve it would be a slightly tainted victory if it were to happen and that's very unfortunate. Scottish football suffers from a crabs in a barrel mentality, unfortunately. Compare and contrast with what the Russian authorities did to help Zenit.

Russia were 7-8 games into the season so it's a bit different in my opinion, Rangers never once asked Uefa to postpone the final. Maybe instead of Bain, Smith, Murray moaning about the SPL and SFL they could have spoke to uefa about postponing the uefa cup final til the week after the champions league final (this wed).

Queens did there best as for Rangers they were crap for a top SPL team however QOS have got all the potential for a brilliant SPL team 4 a wee Dumfries club.
