Gretna FC owner 'recovering well' | Quote: | Gretna Football Club owner Brooks Mileson is recovering after undergoing surgery at Dumfries Infirmary to control internal bleeding.
A brief statement from the Raydale Park club confirmed his condition was stable and added that he was expected to make a full recovery from the operation.
Gretna chairman Ron MacGregor said that surgery had taken place to control the problem on Saturday.
The club expressed its thanks to all the well-wishers who had been in touch.
"Gretna MD Brooks Mileson had an operation last Saturday morning," said the club statement.
"He is in a stable condition, will make a full recovery and is currently recuperating in hospital.
"Brooks and his family thank the many well-wishers for their kind sentiments and request that their privacy is respected."
A spokesman for Dumfries and Galloway Infirmary described Mr Mileson's condition as "improving". |
