History Forum...History Forum...
Hope you like the new History forum, created primarily to discuss Scottish-related topics.
Given that history and politics are often intertwined we thought that it would be a good section to have and hope it adds a lot of interesting discussions to 'Our Scotland'.

History is writ large in the Blackadder family. We are required to learn it from birth. Even our unpaid skivvy, Baldrick has an interest ... though mostly in turnips.
My uncle got his PHD on Scots History and Celtic culture, and has written several Scots plays and had them performed them in the Fringe and abroad.
Frankly I wouldn't pass water over Scotland!

history forumBlackadder,
Would that be the versions of Scottish and Celtic history written by English Historians?
As for not passing water over Scotland?. You should hold on to all your water my dear, because come independence we will only be supplying England with water at a price, not free as we do at present. Same applies to electricity, oil etc.

On this day in1263, the Battle of Largs was fought between the Vikings and a ferocious Scots army. The vikings under King Haakon were beaten. Hakkon retired with the remains of his fleet to Orkney where he died soon after.
