Lockerbie - the saga continuesnews.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8324512.stm
Police are pursuing "several potential lines of inquiry" as they review the Lockerbie bombing case, reports say and are working with forensic scientists to try to build a case against those involved in the 1988 atrocity.
With the current political situation in the Middle East, would it be too cynical for me to suggest that after Megrahi dies, investigators determine that the Iranians were behind it after all ?

Well, the evidence against Me-grahi was a joke.

Whoever the enemy is at the moment, they done it.
Obvious, innit?
Does anyone have a copy of the government handbook (1984) handy?

This is a cold case review and will not be specifically looking at the conviction of megrahi. What it will seemingly be doing is looking at other potential conspirators and reviewing the evidence more generally, perhaps applying more modern policing techniques and technologies.
The Crown Office has been quite clear that they believe Megrahi was guilty and would have fought the appeal had it gone ahead prior to his release.

Of course there will, how public or otherwise these will be is the real question.
