mugabehas anyone came across any of the fools who, 30 odd years ago demanded the british leave and let the young and dynamic mugabe run the country?
most seem to have gone into hiding.

Strictly speaking, the British had left Zimbabwe long before Mugabe appeared on the scene. The country had officially been independent, as “Rhodesia”, since the early 60s, since Ian Smith & co declared UDI. And I was certainly in favour of decolonisation, there and everywhere else, but neither myself nor most other opponents of colonialism were in favour of “letting the dynamic young Mugabe run the country”. What we were in favour of was letting the people of Zimbabwe run their own country. As it happens, democratic elections were held, under supervision by Britain, with observers from the Commonwealth and the United Nations, and Robert Mugabe won those elections fair and square. The most recent elections he clearly didn’t win, and he is behaving as a dictator. But decolonisation was still the right way to go, in fact it was the only way to go, and anybody who imagines white minority rule could have continued indefinitely is just kidding themselves.
As for “most seem to have gone into hiding”, YOU are the one hiding behind a false name.
