A Chairadean mhath.

This is a bloody disgrace. Hundreds of his workers were cheated out of their pension rights by what can only be described as flagrant theft! Shame! Shame! On the Lib Dems, taking that donation. Have they no scruples? No Morals? No decency? No! They grovel on their bellies like snakes for donations from any source, no matter how despicable or dishonest. They deserve to go the way of the Toraidhs, into the outer darkness of political oblivion. I very much doubt if any of the Richards workers will be voting Lib Dem.

Actually in the last election to the Scottish Parliament, and every election before (well, there's only been one admittedly, but my way sounds better), the Tories have out-performed the Lib Dems by a good margin, particularly in the regional vote.

Equally the 'Toraidhs' have a core support with considerably more loyalty than any Lib Dem has to their party.

Loyalty?, surely the policies of the party should determine support or not.

We have all seen what happens when people blindly vote for a party out of habit, 'loyalty'..........or as a result of upbringing (See Scottish Labour); although people are now managing to kick this particular habit.

I don't think they are. There are still a breed of Labour voters who will dogmatically vote Labour, and continue to do so. I don't imagine them changing.

It may well not be right or proper of them to behave in this way, but it is a simple fact of life that there are some parties that are so established that they don't need policies. Put a red rosette on a donkey in Lanarkshire, as they say, and its likely to get elected.
