Nos ùr 2009The 'Eurovision' for the Celtic nations takes place next week. Last years was good but attendance low.Scotland's offerings were pretty poor - just the same old folk music in Gaelic with one guy gurning in 'Scots' - English really. Oi Polloi were a breath of fresh air with their Gaelic punk. This year see Na Gathan and Sunrise not Secular moving away from the usual Gaelic folk with more indie/rock/punk stuff. Sunrise not Secular won it as well as the Irish Gaelic group whose name i canny mind.
SnS sing good Gaelic rock. Pity they're Christian! As if modern Gaelic music needs a Christian rock band... |
