What a game

Its been a long while since we have scored 5 goals in the first half. Admittedly the Faroes weren't the best team we will face in this group but its nice to get a bit of goal action before we face the likes of the Ukraine who i think will be the best team in this group. Nice to see a few players getting on the score sheet. Fletcher looked on top form and i hope that this happiness lasts past wednesday Smile

The first half in particular was fantastic. There is always a risk of players just expecting to turn up to win, but there was none of that from Scotland and they looked hungry right from the start.

I also think all Scotland games should be played at Parkhead. There is no doubt that there is a better atmosphere there (even with the stadium not full) than there is at Hampden.

Hopefully the good times are starting to come back for Scotland and I think this was reflected in the fact that there was a crowd of 50,000.

I like the atmosphere at hampden. Against Italy it was a brilliant place to be. The problem before that game may have been the fact that Scotland weren't really much to cheer about

Decent result for Scotland. About time we put a few past a team. Italy dropping points is interesting as well. Means we should be very wary of Lithuania, but also make sure that we get all three points. With Italy playing France, we could end up 5 points ahead of Italy. Couldn't ask for a better start than that, and we need it if we are to have any hope at all IMO.

You could be right. I remember watching on TV a certain Euro 2000 qualifier play-off where the opposition national anthem was completely drowned out before the match started. That must have been some atmosphere! (Pity about the result Crying or Very sad )

Another great result for Scotland last night.

The only worrying thing is the Miller suspension for the next match. Miller works really hard at holding the ball up etc, so I wouldn't be suprised to see someone like Paul Dickov called up to replace him.

Anyway top of the group that includes France and Italy Very Happy

Aye, and sounds like both were pretty soft. I think he'll go with Boyd. O'Connor spent some time last year playing sole forward for Hibs and did a good job. I'm not a fan of Dickov at all. Hopefully France are going to beat everyone, so we shouldn't really worry about not picking up points. Would be nice to get a competetive performance against them to keep the confidence up though.

I think if we kepthe score within 1 or 2 goals against france this would be a decent enough result for us. Itlay seem to be there for thed taking although with the Seria A about to start they will be up to match fitness by the time they meet us.

Think i`ll set up a stall selling rose tinted glasses. Not the drinking type i might add.
SLG

Oh come on, let us enjoy it while we can. Next two games will probably see us crash back to reality and your rose tinted glasses business will be out of business.
