Independence First General MeetingI already sent a message about the Glasgow I.F. launch meeting
on November 19th. The general meeting scheduled for the same
day in Dundee has been put back a week to enable folk from Glasgow
to attend. So : the next all-Scotland general meeting of Independence First, the campaign for a referendum on independence for Scotland,
will be held exactly a week after the Glasgow meeting, at 1pm on Sunday the 26th of November, in the basement of the "Braes" bar, 4 to 10 Perth Road, Dundee. This is near the city centre, within walking distance of rail and bus stations, just across the road from the Tower Building of Dundee University. The basement of Braes is a very comfortable location and the bar serves some excellent food and drink (we have to give them a plug, they let us meet there for nothing!). A general meeting is open to all members of Independence First, and is the decision making body of our campaign. UNLIKE the Glasgow meeting, this is NOT a public meeting
in the sense of a meeting open to absolutely anybody, however, some "supporters" of our campaign have shown up at every general meeting
we have had, and joined Independence First AT the meeting. We held
a very successfull march and rally in Edinburgh on September 30th,
and the main item on our agenda for this meeting on the 26th is to decide on a date for our _next_ demonstration, and to begin planning what form this will take. So , if you are supportive of our campaign , but not yet
a member, please do come along and play your part in making big strides towards our goal of a referendum on independence, leading to actual independence, as soon as possible.
