Nollaig....

Nollaig chridheil agus bliadhna mhath ur a h-uile duine… Very Happy
Cymro

Assuming Nollaig is Christmas?

It's Nadolig in Welsh - so quite simmilar. I find it fascinating when I come across words like this

Nadolig Llawen a Blwyddyn Newydd Dda!
garye

I noticed the similarity on one of the christmas cards I sent out. They look linked in some way but I don't know what the origins are.

How does Llawen translate because "Nollaig Chridheil" is "Hearty Christmas"?
Cymro

I suppose it could also mean Hearty though more like Jolly.

Probably linked from the old Pagan names for it.

Mòran taing bhuamsa cuideachd.

Bidh mi a' siubhal a-màireach agus chan eil mi cinnteach ma bhios mi air loidhne an dèidh sin am bliadhna.

Tha mi an dòchas gum bi Nollaig chridheil agaibh agus bliadhna mhath ùr!

Òlaibh agus ithibh cus! Chì mi an ath-bhliadhna sibh Very Happy
