I saw the Ulster Scots Folk Orchestra last week in Cumnock, they were very good. Very much aware of their heritage and didnt mix it with various other histories for some political agenda.

Aye there right and good. Willie Drennan is the 'anchor man'. I've heard them a few times now at various venues. John Trotter[multi-instrument] has left them now,and formed his own group.
I think I like the best....The Low Country Boys. They are more the Bluegrass sort of music. They sing a lot of Gospel stuff too,as they are from that background.
Here is their site. Wullie Drennan is on it to. Its from his BBC programme..'A Dander With Drennan'. The video on it shows him joining in with the LCB. Ther'e playing the old Hank Williams one 'I Saw The Light'

This is great. Better than the ubiquitous Orange Walk!

I met Willie after the gig Congal, he is a very talented musician and knows his music and its history. His spinning lambeg finale was brilliant.
