I dont think its a metter of whether they should be allowed to or ot, if they ewant to, who's going to stop them? They cant fire them all and they cant operate without them.
I hope they do flex their muscles. I'd also like to see independent financial analysis on what backdating this pay rise would actually do to the inflation rate. I mean we are talking about a sum of a couple of hundred quid for 140,000 people. When tghe xmas bonuses are nhanded out in the city this year it will amount to millions more than a bacdated payment to police yet Brown doesnt talk about how it would affect inflation! If Brown is talking s***e re inflation then this should be highlighted. |
