Activists for Scottish Independence and English IndependenceI and some English Independence activists have recently set up the Free England Party. At present our members are few in number, but we are passionate about English independence and are confident that we will make our party the leading pro-independence party in England very quickly. Our new party - naturally - has a civic definition to the question: "Who are the English?".
It seems to me that if only some of those who favour Scottish independence could give us a helping hand, then we will the sooner put the case for English Independence on the political agenda down South.
There could be many ways to help us - as a new party we need help on just about every score!
One very easy way to assist us would be to sign up some of the e-petitions on the No 10 Downing Street site. There are several about English independence and I attach the latest one below. The hyperlink is not working so you have will have to go to the No 10 website (which has a search facility) to sign it and others - if you wish to help that is.
Thanks very much. Andrew Constantine
Your petition has been approved by the Number 10 web team, and
is now available on the Number 10 website at the following
address:
http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Free-England/
Your petition reads:
We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to take note of
the work of the present Scottish government and the likelihood
that the Scottish nation may soon wish to leave the United
Kingdom, and to instruct his government and the central civil
service to make orderly and fair arrangements for the
dissolution of the Union Government, its replacement by
separate Governments for England and the other home nations,
the equitable sharing of the UK’s publicly owned assets and its
liabilities between the four home nations, and the preparation
by all government departments and ministries of policies
adapted to the long term freedom and prosperity of an
Independent England.
English visitors to Scotland will see the resurgence of
Scottish pride in their nation as the Scottish government
represents their national identity and adopts policies that
clearly are to the benefit of the Scottish people. The
Scottish civil service in turn is managing very competently the
implementation of these policies. While all the political
parties represented in the Scottish Parliament accept that
devolution is a process and not a destination, and all are in
favour of more competences being transferred from Westminster
and Whitehall to Edinburgh.
It is time that the Union government accepted the now seemingly
inevitable dissolution of the UK, and made the comprehensive
and detailed plans for its demise and the revival of
independent states for the four home nations of England,
Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
There is a great deal of work required to be done if an orderly
transition is to be made from the UK to the four independent
home nations. The petitioner asks the Prime Minister to issue
the necessary directives to his government and to the civil
service now.
Thanks for submitting your petition.

Scotland to the rescue?Further to my above post, a UKIPper has in response to my request for others to sign the above petition, just posted on a UK forum the following:
"If the Scottish People wish to depart from the union then of course the civil service should make preparation for this, but there is no sign they wish to do this at all."
Do members of this forum think that no "Scottish People wish to depart from the union...."
Come on, my nationalist and Independence brother & sisters in arms - show the world that he's wrong!

Delighted to help Andrew. Glad to hear that you have adopted a 'civic' model of nationalism for your party and I certainly see your group being more attractive to Scot Nats because of it. Some of the existing English independence / parliament groups seemed rather xenophobic to me and fixated on the ethnic orign of the present PM. Fact is, it really doesn't matter to me whether he's a Scot or not (though it obviously matters a great deal to him given how hard he tries to disguise it).
P.S. UKIP is a political irrelevance and the poster you refer to seems as well informed as I would expect him/her to be.
