The Royal National Mod 2008 presents:

Credited with being at the forefront of the renaissance in folk/roots music over the last 20 years, Scotland’s finest Celtic band returned this year with a brand new studio album “Roses and Tears”.

Their appearances in concert halls and festivals in over 30 countries worldwide along with platinum discs and critics awards are testament to the band’s consistently popular live shows – an intoxicating blend of traditional Gaelic songs and instrumentals with a contemporary attitude featuring the sublime vocals of Karen Matheson, this is a rare opportunity to see one of folk music’s top acts in full flight.

The Royal National Mod 2008 presents:

Donnie Munro with special guests The Catriona Watt Trio - Saturday 13th September

Donnie Munro and Runrig became one of Scotland's most popular acts, outselling all other artists in Scotland in album sales and performing now legendary concerts at Stirling Castle and at Loch Lomond.

Donnie now enjoys a successful solo career, with his album ,'Heart of America' winning Album of the Year in the Scottish Trad Music Awards 2006. He continues to work as the Director of Development at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, Scotland’s National Centre for the Gaelic Language and Culture on Skye and has just completed a series of highly acclaimed live shows titled An Turas-the journey, with a 40 piece ensemble. He is now preparing for the release of a live album recorded at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow during Celtic Connections 2008.
