Their compatriots must be very proud of them.

The racism from the usual suspects is getting extraordinarily tiresome.

racism? thats a good one.
come on now aventanian you are very quick to condemn republicans. lets now hear your views on torture which the british government banned in the 1970's still being used in iraq today. lets also hear you comment on why panorama had to have a legal fight to even show the programme in the first place. surely the british army and government believe we should have a free press?

Racism Aventinan? Stupidly ridicilous comment. Belittles true racism which does exist.
No excuse for torture, wherever it's used, who ever does the torturing and against who ever. The programme is exactly the kind of programme Panorama should be doing, not the drivel they've been showing in recent times.

Absolutely contemptible, as I'd hope any decent person would believe.

It is racism, nothing else. Whether it 'belittles' any other form of racism, I don't really care.

Are Soliders a seperate race now then? Parkhead, likes to make out the British Army is the devil itself but that isn't racism by any stretch of the imagination. For a seemingly intelligent man to claim that what he says is racism is plainly ridicilous. Plenty of things you can properly argue with Parkie without needing to make things up Avent.

I am, of course, referring to Britons. Parkhead is quite happy to support certain soldiers of an Irish variant.

He argues it because of his own bigotry and prejudice. As I don't doubt he would do with anything noticeably British.

Read his message again. He's talking about the British Army and making out that this is typical behaviour of the British Army. Thats it. Nothing more than that.
Personally I find torture wrong regardless of who's doing it, be in the British Army, the US Army or certain paramilitary organisations claiming to fight for Ireland.

i agree this is not racism. I do think that parkhead has used this as a way to tar the full British army with the same brush, which i don agree with. However his point about torture is correct and i agreewith him, that doesnt make me or him a racist
