Bringing in the Change

The progress of a district depends a great deal on its leadership. Ina democratic country like US, how good the leadership gets is in the hands of the residents. As the country conducts its elections, it is the time for the residents of the country to bring in a leadership that can cater to its demands and act accordingly. One of the main districts having its primary elections is the Congressional District of Texas 22nd.
The district 22nd covers a south-central portion of the Houston-Sugar Land-Baytown metropolitan area. It includes the cities of Rosenberg and La Marque as well as portions of Missouri City and Pearland, in Fort Bend, Harris, Galveston, and Brazoria counties. The district represents a heavy pro-republican population. The two major issues faced by the district include the issue of illegal immigration and higher taxes, besides the issues of national security and global terrorism. There is a dire need to fight illegal immigrants through Comprehensive Immigration Reforms. Higher taxes are another issue affecting the families of Texas 22nd. Because of the high taxes, the families are able to retain only a small portion of their paycheck, adding financial pressure on them.
The district is conducting its primary elections on 4th March, 2008. Those contesting the elections are known names from different walks of life. One of the strong contenders of the seat is Dean Hrbacek. Dean is the former Mayor and Councilman of Sugar Land, credited with bringing in changes which has contributed towards making Sugar Land a premier community in Texas. Having lived in Texas his entire life, the republican candidate has his loyalties clearly within the state. The district is sure to gain a lot from his leadership.

Was there any point in posting this three days after the primaries?
