Big in Falkirk Mini Feis 2008Big In Falkirk Min Feis 2008To highlight the Royal National Mod being held in Falkirk in October 08 and to offer children and young people opportunities to participate in traditional and Gaelic music, a mini feis will be held on Sunday 4th May. For the first half of the day children and young people will be able to try out various traditional instruments free of charge, which will be delivered by the members of one of Scots finest young contemporary trad bands Skerryvore who will also perform in the tent at the end of the day. After the workshops local trad and Gaelic groups will perform throughout the day, giving the local community the chance to hear and experience live trad and Gaelic music. Funding for the tent will be provided by UZ, Falkirk Council, Scottish Arts Council (YMI) and Feisean nan Gaidheal.
