pest PMsDoes anyone know a way to stop someone from sending PMs? I have asked the person to stop but they wont and I cant find an 'ignore button'?

I suppose your best bet is to ask one of the site admis if they can arrange blocking messages or if what he/she is sending you is breaking rules then maybe looking at removing their PM privelages?

Since the last time I replied to ambers Pm and the last thread she tried to start about this, I havent sent her any PMs, this is a fact.
Every PM that I sent amber was in reply to PMs from her accusing me of harrassment, bullying and sexism.
I am not sending you any PMs amber, I will reply to the ones you send me if they include an accusation. BUT, as you havent sent me any more, it has ended, lets keep it that way.
Now, you could withdraw your lie about me and we can all get back to debating politics rather than your obsession with Tommy Sheridan.

I know your kind. I had a leading member of the SSP trying to blacken my name on the Internet and he was identifiable not ET from outer space.
Give up your obsession with Tommy and start debating politics.
I ask again can the SNP members on this site verify Amber is associated with that party or not?

It's fairly clear that this person that posts under the name of Amber's obsession with both Rinty and Tommy Sheridan is wierd. I don't think I've seen this person post a message on any other topic other than making accusations which they are unwilling to back up then vanishing for a few days before coming back to do it all over again. Imagine for a second how this freak would act if the internet didn't exist. Following him around? Writing poison pen letters? Hoax phone calls? Or would they be too much of a coward, the internet enables them to post messages under a nickname while offering no proof, clearly causing some worry to Rinty and rightly so then being too much of a coward.
Think it's time now that the mods of this site act swiftly to ban this troll once and for all, then maybe, just maybe we'll get to enjoy the debate on this site again.

No! Not without the person identifying him/herself.
I doubt if this person is all he/she claims to be. It looks more like some-body's out to bait Rinty for whatever reason best known to them.

There is no way to block PMs from one particular poster unfortunately.
My advice would be DON'T REPLY. Even if PMs contain false accusations or are of general nuisance value, no-one else can see the accusation.
Don't feed the trolls!

Amber, you know the truth. You sent a PM to me, I replied asking you not to PM me. You then sent more, each one accusing me of sexism, bullying or harassment. I replied to every one of them refuting your allegations and asking you to stop. Eventually, thankfully, you decided to stop. If I was harrassing you I wouldnt have stopped. The reason I stopped is that all I was doing was replying to you.
If you look back you will see that the first PM is yours and the subject in all of them is your heading. There will be an equal number of PMs in each direction with yours coming first and mine last. Thats a conversation. One person starts it, the other responds. It might have been a nasty conversation but thats how it works.
Unfortunately, you havent stopped accussing me of lying about my work history.
The offer of an independent mediator still stands. You send the info confirming you are a female member of the SNP to a neutral third party, I send details of work history to the same person. We take the word of that person that the info is correct or not, make appropriate apologies and withdrawals, and move on.
Wouldnt it be better for you to know whether or not your allegations are true? Or would you prefer to just leave the allegations out there whether they are true or not. Go on, it's the season of goodwill, you could bring all of this to a halt.

I have no intention of providing my personal details to anyone linked to you. I would not feel safe doing that.

I did suggest an independent mediator, not someone appointed by me. It is obvious why you wont do this.
I'd be delighted for it to stop Amber. It's not nice having anonymous strangers publicly calling me a liar and specigfying what I am supposed to have lied about without any evidence for it happening.
I know why you and opthers think that it is important to try to damage people through anonymous postings on internet sites and I am used to it. But that still doesnt make it alright.
If this could stop, I could get back to enjoying a site that I have taken part in since the beginning and is one of my favourite places to debate online.
I hope you are genuinely offering to stop it and not just saying that.
But, I agree why not stop it. Let's stop it.
