What a surprise, a rupert murdoch paper runs a story like this. You should read it again rosa. It says nothing.
Gail will be interviewed as ALL witnesses in the case are being investigated re possible perjury. The idea that Gail being interviewed is news is ridiculous.
I would say that this story shows murdoch getting a bit desperate.
the story clearly highlights that Gails phone records have not been looked at as yet so the rest is pure specualtion.
All of these stories are about leading any potential jury, and the police and crown office must be raging as every leak undermines any chance of a fair trial.

Hardie is my homeboy Jimbo.
Many places claim him as he was born in Lanarkshire and his constituencies when an MP were in Wales and London, but Cumnock was his home town by choice.
One thing I like about my town and the surrounding villages are the street names reminding us of Hardie and his comrades, like Keir Hardie Hill and Emrys Avenue.
We also have streets named after the covenenters martyrs whose graves and battle sites surround the town. In Catrine, a village near cumnock, we have the brilliantly named Radical Road which sits at the top of Radical Brae. And we have another great name in "poverty row".
We also have a permanent Keir Hardie exhibition in the local museum which recreates his sitting room with his books etc. Locked away for safe keeping are his letters to Lenin and others, they are in poor condition and dont get exhibited.
In fact, continuing the plug for the "cumnock tourist board" the same museum has an original covenanting flag and the Cumnock NUM's banner from the 84/85 strike.
But no, its not me, I dont have hats and no beard.

He was a journalist at one period. Did he predict spin doctors?

I dont know that he predicted anything Rosa but yes, he was a journalist for the local paper here in Cumnock and wrote as "trapper" hardie.
He was also editor of "the miner" and he once had to step down as leader of the Labour party due to internal squabbling in the party.
As for your reference to spin doctors, you would have to be a wee bit clearer in what you are trying to say before I could possibly comment.

Intersting. A good Welsh name - thats my dads first name. Who does that refer too?

It is named after Emrys Hughes a left wing Labour MP who ended up as Keir Hardie's son-in law when he married Nan Hardie. He came from wales originally.
Hughes was our local MP here in Cumnock until he died in the late 60's and Nan was a labour councillor and provost.
