Rannsachadh Teicneolas Cainnt Is Cànain

Tha Bòrd na Gàidhlig air pìos rannsachaidh Teicneolas Cainnt is Cànain a thoirt do dh’Oilthigh Ghlaschu. Tha an rannsachadh a’ toirt sùil air na th’ againn de theicneolas an-dràsta, na gabh a dhèanamh agus na tha a dhìth air a’ choimhearsnachd.

Air sgàth sinn, tha iad a’ sireadh an dà chuid beachdan is smuaintean nan eòlachaichean cànain agus na coimhearsnachd. Tha iad air ceisteachan air loidhne a chur ri chèile a chum sin. Bidh e furasta ri lìonadh agus cha leig sibh a leas a bhith math air prògramachadh, teicneolas cainnt no rudan mar sin. ’S e ur beachdan a tha iad a’ sireadh!

Ma tha ùidh agaibh ann, cuiribh post-d gu Mìcheal aig fios@akerbeltz.org agus cuiridh e ceangal pearsanta thugaibh.

Bòrd na Gàidhlig has commissioned the University of Glasgow with conducting a piece of research on speech and language technology. The research looks at what there is currently, what can be done and what the Gaelic community needs and wants.

For that reason they have put together an online survey to get the views both of language specialists and the wider community. It’s easy to fill in and you don’t need to be good at programming, speech technology or other things like that. It’s your views that count!

If you're interested in taking part, please email Michael at fios@akerbeltz.org and he’ll send you your personal link.

Theid mi ann!

Hi guys, I was wondering if you can help me with gaelic; well, in the sense that my situation is a bit particular.

I live in France and would like my children to learn gaelic.  Shaun is 10, Tara, 8 and Glen 15 months(toddler).   Evidentally, I would be interested myself but it's difficult to know where to begin.

It's clearly a job for a gaelic teacher but none are here as far as I can see.

What about a distance learning course (DVDs).

Any ideas?
