Scotland's ParliamentI know that what I am seeking is buried somewhere in this web forum. If someone could please guide me there, I can get what I want - the parties represented in Scotland's parliament along with the leaders of each party. By leaders, I mean the Scots leaders, not those in London. I do realize the parties are larger than one country.
Thank you very much. Hazel

Scottish National Party. Leader = Alex Salmond
Conservative. Scottish leader = Annabelle Goldie
Greens. Leader = Robin Harper
Labour. Scottish leader= Wendy Alexander
Liberal. Scottish leader = Nicol Stephen
The Conservative, Labour and Liberal party leaders in Scotland are figureheads only. These parties are run from London. Their leaders have no say on policies in Scotland and are dictated to by their London masters apart from the Conservative Party who are allowed a certain amount of autonomy as to how the party functions in Scotland.

Hazel, I think the info is scattered in different places, referred to here and there, so here's the rundown:
SNP - 47 seats - Leader (and First Minister ): Alex Salmond MSP MP; Depute Leader: Nicola Sturgeon MSP
Labour - 46 seats - "Leader in the Scottish Parliament" (their title): Wendy Alexander MSP; Deputy Leader: Cathy Jamieson MSP. Scottish Labour in a general sense doesn't have a Leader as such: Alexander is only the Leader of the Holyrood Group.
Conservatives - 16 seats (had 17 but Alex Fergusson quit the Party on being elected Presiding Officer) - Leader: Annabel Goldie MSP; Deputy Leader: Murdo Fraser MSP
Liberal Democrats - 16 seats - Leader: Nicol Stephen MSP; Deputy Leader: Michael Moore MP
Scottish Greens - 2 seats - Co-Conveners: Robin Harper MSP and Shiona Baird
There's also one Independent in Margo MacDonald, and as I said before, Alex Fergusson is the Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament.
Hope that's of use!

Just by way of an update... this thing is out of date already!
Shiona Baird has not been nominated again for the Green Co-Convenership... Robin Harper will stay on, but Alison Johnstone (A Green City of Edinburgh Councillor) has been nominated in Baird's place.
