Scotlands picts for the Cricket world championships 2007Scotland picked a good opener with Austrailia  (of all teams) on the 14th March at Sabina Park in Jamacia, the other Scotland matches in the prelims are...Scotland Vs South Africa...Warner Park stadium in St.Kitts 20th March and Scotland Vs Holland at the same venue on the 22nd March.
The super 8's are from March 29th--April 09th where a match wil be played every day alternately at The sir Viv Richards stadium,Antigua and in Guyana, (not at Bourda )but at the new Providence Stadium
From April 10th--21st, the matches will be held every day alternately between Queens Park stadium, Grenada, and Kensington Oval, Barbados.
The Semi's...
Ist Semi---Sabina Park Jamacia on April 24th
2nd Semi....Beausejour Stadium,St Lucia,April 25th
And the final will be held at Kensington Oval,Barbados on 28th April.
Will the Picts make it to Barbados??? Hummnnnnnn.....uh   Ah think ah need wan!

I think if Scotland can get a shock result against either Australia or South Africa (maybe a dodgy Duckworth Lewis  ) then we should beat Holland and that would be us in the next stage

Hi RH, If the Saltires beat the lads from the land doon under, I'll eat my, my, weel,truth is I'd probably DIE from shock! Och if they do, I'd die onyway from a large overdose of pure HAPPINESS!

The Aussies have a song out for the occasion with a sort of reggae type beat to it, I heard it for the first time yesterday. So,I figure if futball world cup can have a song (Jason Scotland)out for the occasion, so can the Saltires for WC cricket. For one moment when I first heard it(the Aussie song) I thought with horror,that it was THE overall song for the competition,which is Bajan,Trini and others... I think WHEW!!

I think the Saltires song should follow the tune to the 10CC song "We don't like cricket, we love it...", except the words should be changed to
"We don't like England,
We love them.....
...getting beat by New Zealand, Kenya and Canada"

This is why its time for something uniquely SCOTTISH. A breakaway from the engerlish thang!! BRING THE PIPERS,BRING THE TARTAN, let folk understand that we are not ENGLISH!! 10cc is engerlish as i know it!!
I am sick and tired of having to explain myself to folk who genuinely do not know that scotland is not ENGLAND!! Let us for once be uniquley ourselves....Win or lose!!
Every one here is on tender hooks and cannot wait for the event,even though I personally despair of a W.I team. Reminds me of that song by U2.....But I still haven't found what I'm looking for. Xlent song though it be!!
