The charity's latest poster campaign features a photograph of Michael Martin, resplendent in his Speaker's robes trimmed with real gold. The Charity’s Chief Executive Willie Docherty said, “We would be happy to receive an application from Michael to see how we might help him through this distressing period. Our grants are designed to help people re-train into new areas when they find their current career path is not working out quite the way they had hoped. In Michael’s case we will be offering to cover his expenses during training. We believe highlighting the case of high profile Scots in London is a good opportunity to raise awareness of our services and the help we can provide. We are preparing an ad to support Mr Brown’s needs when the time comes.” ScotsCare’s help for Scots in London ranges from the provision of training grants to beds for the homeless. The ad shows Michael Martin with the line “Need training for a new job? Let ScotsCare help with the expenses.” |
