SPL Expansion To Go AheadWhat utter p!sh.A "top flight structure of 22 clubs playing in two divisions"? So it is just the same as we have got just now except with a change of name. What we need is a complete overhaul of how Scottish football is not only structured but how and who it is run by. Once the two SPL are up and running, do you think they might vote to close the trap-door of relegation to a different body?
Or perhaps do what the English League used to do and have all 22 clubs vote on whether to allow the bottom club to be replaced a club from the Scottish Football League First Division? (As it would be unlikely to keep the name Scottish Football League Two for the name of the group of teams not invited to take part.) A couple of bad years and the remaining Scottish Football League will need to rely on government subsidies or go bust. |

I'd go for pretty much azzuri's suggestion with getting rid of the C.I.S or if it's kept, give it a UEFA spot or try fund a deal with some of the english sides to make it an Anglo-Celtic Cup, give it a bit more excitment than what it currently has. I doubt the Premier League sides would be interested and probably neither some Championship Clubs but sure the rest in England would love a game against our finest sides up here.
