Now its no different to the crap I had to put up with when I lived in England, but aren't the comments interesting? In a fit of boredom I posted one, but it hasn't been published, possibly because I was suggesting that Scotland wasn't subsidised by England.
What with Vince Cable's comments, we seem to be in "abused spouse" mode with England, whereby we're being told that we'd be nothing without them and we should just shut up and do as we're told.

I have considered Scotland's relationship with the UK as best explained by the abused spouse/child's relationship with the abuser for several years now. It's a variant of Stockholm Syndrome and it's the only way I can understand why so many Scots are still so reluctant to let go of Mammy's apron strings even though it is clear we are far from welcome.
This pilot chappy, isn't he that guy who's stood as a Labour candidate in various elections, and who often writes completely asinine letters to the Herald defending Labour policies? I'm sure he must have written in the past about the "black hole" in Scotland's finances. Talk about reaping what you sow!

I think he must be. It's not that common a name.

And he lives in Dunblane.
He hasn't written in to the Herald for a while now.
Obviously got other things on his mind.

No, it's actually a part of the male anatomy, good sir.
And the said individual mentioned, is in the habit of spouting off p**h in the letters column of our serious daily newspapers (all 2 of them!)
Still, he's not here to defend himself so enough of that.

He's not the only one
And I'll ask again, why is living in Dunblane relevant?

Don't feed the troll!

As we're trying to ascertain whether this is the same Doug Maughan that writes the letters to the press, Dunblane is only relevant because that's where he writes his letters from and, presumably, where he lives.
