Aye,right enough. Is it nae terrible how thae politicians and folk o that sort wae have nae muckle backbone in the way o principles get terribly jealous and fearful of a man that still kens the meaning o decency, respect fer ither folk and stands by his moral principles? Is it nae terrible how them creatures try tae bring doon a guid man tae their level by deceit and innuendo? Aye, by giving a not proven verdict the loons are still implying a slur on yer man. ROCK ON, TOMMY.

What on earth are you talking about? He got the Not Proven verdict from a JURY OF HIS PEERS, having been charged by the Procurator Fiscal's Office. No politicians involved in either... and he got it because everyone knows he committed the offence, unfortunately the Crown's case wasn't up to much.

| Quote: | Sheridan says he'll keep on protesting
SCOTTISH Socialist MSP Tommy Sheridan yesterday vowed to continue protesting at an asylum centre after being cleared of breach of the peace during a demonstration.
He said he was planning to return to the UK Immigration building in Glasgow to make a stand against the method of deportation used for failed asylum seekers. |

tThe accusation of the securoty guard was laughable. He claimed to have seen three hooded men do the fridge, the footage showed that two police cars were next two the protesters and that there was no way anyof them could be indentified as Tommy. The security guard's claim that hood fell down revealing sheridan was seen to ne nonsense. It wasn't so much that the crowns' case wasn't up to much, it was non-existent.
Do we really think that Tommy would think that a hood would make him unreognisable to policemen a few feet away from him.
Not proven does not mean that someone was guilty but the crown just didnt have enough evidence to convict, it means that it could not be proved one way or another, so it wrong to assume it is one way and not the other.
Although its probably means nothing in law, I know for a fact that Tommy was not one of the three men who built the barricade. He was, though, the biggest annoyance to the staff at the centre and the security guard that morning, that is why he was arrested. His arrest was not for committing any crime so they attempted to tie him to a crime committed earlier and the security guard lied, as the TV footage showed.
