Troll Or Not?Why is it that "Blackleaf" is designated as a "Confirmed Troll", yet "Aventinian" is not?
Aventinian is completely hostile to the Scots, under any circumstance, democtatic or otherwise deciding how they should be goverened, ie part of the union or not.
The same could be said of Blackleaf, except he's an English unionist.
Is this fair?

Because a troll is not just someone who disagrees with your own viewpoint. A troll is someone who deliberately sabotages online discussion for their own amusement.
Blackleaf is (or rather was...) a troll, not because of his political opinions, but because he repeatedly ignored guidelines on posting copyrighted material from newspapers.
It is completely counterproductive to insist on referring to everyone who defends the Union as a troll; that way lies the madness of St George.

....agreed agent.
Being a unionist does not a troll make. Everyone is welcome to their own opinion here, as long as they contribute positively to the discussion, whether they agree with the majority or not...

Glad someone disagrees with my viewpoint. Yet "The Pantomime Villain" a serious signature, the avatar, or is he extracting the Michael, if not for his own entertainment?

Fair enough, I did not realise that. I just wondered, thats all.

I'm not doing so, it's just that the two posters above share the same views. One is English and the other a Scot. Still that's been clarified. No bias on this forum then.

Otherwise, for one, I'd give up.

I'm not doing so, |
Accepted, but others have, with dreary monotony.

If it wasn't for Av' stirring the sh!t you'd all be on here agreeing with each other.
How boring would that be?
Anyway, sometimes some of his posts are worth reading.
Agent: Should it not be 'Madness of King George'? Or am I missing a jest here.

OH, NO, WE WOULDN'T !
While the rumour that I could start an argument in an empty room is not true, I do disagree with everybody, sooner or later. There can't be many folk on here I have not disagreed with at one time or another.
And now I've disagreed with you.

I agree with you, Dave; you disagree with everyone eventually.

I was referring to a certain self-appointed Scourge of the Unionist Media, and sometime denizen of this parish, who sees a plot behind every lamppost.
But Holebender & Dave are right: there would be precious little unanimity even without Aventinian. And at least he can write in sentences, unlike some of the most recent recruits.

A troll. as far as I'm concerned, is the following:
a wee, ugly critter who lived under a bridge and tempted unsuspecting children and animals with false promises an then gobbled them up. He featured in, now we're talking SOURCES here, the 'Three Billy Goats Gruff' - a fine work of art, I might say.

I don't think blackleaf is the only troll on here ... although he's not been about for a while.
