Vote Match from Unlock DemocracyVote Match TestWith the current crisis in Westminster, you could be forgiven for not realising we are just a couple of weeks from an election. On Thursday 4 June, UK voters will have a chance to elect their representatives in the European Parliament for the next five years (some parts of the country will also be holding local elections, Cornwall for example). Turnout for European elections is typically low and this year's is expected to be no exception. This is hardly surprising when 51% of the public claim to know 'not very much' or 'nothing at all' about politics (Audit of Political Engagement 6, Hansard Society 2009). Vote Match is very simple: give your opinion on 30 statements, mark which ones you consider to be particularly important or unimportant, and the website calculates where you stand in relation to the parties based on their own responses to the same statements.
