Wedding good wishesI am doing a wee speech at my sister's wedding this weekend. My Gaelic is pretty basic - I've not really got past "Ciamar a tha sibh" and was hoping someone out there might have a few phrases (traditional or modern) in Gaelic, with English translation, for me to simply wish my sister and her husband well in their new life together. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Running out of time...the wedding's tomorrow!
I put did this on the Gaidhlig part of the Forum but is doesn't get as many hits as General Banter!

I can't help, I gave up beginner's Gaelic after my third attempt!
Try messaging some of the Gaelic 'translators' on the Gaidhlig part of the form, also message Niall.

I don't think my friend lives there now, but he was born and raised in Melton Mowbray and got up to some very unnatural practices like Morris Dancing. I knew him as a teenager in the early 90s, so he'll be in his early 30s by now.
So now you all know BA's not the old fossil you thought he was!

Yes the Melton Morris dancers, the wee englishments wi' bells oan their breeks waving their hankies, there's nothing quite like it!!
Annnnnnd all together now, step, step, ching, step, step ching annnnnnd wave and wave
I used to do a lot of horse riding back then, we used to help exercise the Army horses that came up to Melton for the hunting season with the Quorn, for one. That was a blast to say the least!
So yer no' an auld fossil then BA? Nearly but noat quite then? I'm no' saying a word!!

Yes thanks, it was a great day and everyone said "I do" at the appropriate places.
For reasons of national security, photographs will not be forthcoming, ... but I can confirm that I was the only one there in the kilt.
