If you're unashamedly taking a 'cause I'm Scottish' approach to Nationalism, I think it underlines the reason why no sensible person should listen to you. I am British. We are at loggerheads. I, on the other hand, try to find a way around that while you keep bashing your head off a wall. |

Hey Ave happy new year baby .Meanwhile we both know you are only picking on me for a feel good victory of words here as you cannot over come ma brothers in arms!
But you are right, I am scottish and am not British and am looking forward to a Scotland that I can comfortably return to. You see I may fool around on here but you don't really know me. I want to know what is British? What does that mean? Where does that person come from? Where is British land? Who is he/she? Who are their folk? Their poets? Their heros? Their culture? Their ancestors?Do these elusive persons only speak british?? Do they all speak British? In fact, what the hell does BRITSH really mean??? I don't mind being at logger heads with you Ave, in fact I like a little grrrrrr in the mix!! How totally boring life would be if we all were like clones,one following blindly behind the other!!! However, when Scotland takes back its power to rule itself from the engerlish,you tell me who will be bashing whose head against a wall then!! And this will surely come to pass. It is you and those like you who I feel for,stuck in no mans land like Gordo brownnoseMacfekinihatebeingscottishBrown!!

How am I picking on you? I've quoted your posts probably least of anyone else's on here.
An interesting question and one best left to people who care more about nations and cultural identities etc. No one has spoken a British language for centuries, with the possible exception of the Gaels and the Welsh, Bretons etc. |
