YeltsinI have to admit that I post some messages on the site of your arch-enemy, ie. cross of St. George-site but I`m sure you have noticed that anyway.I just want to get various viewpoints to different opinions.
I asked this question about Yeltsin on St.George and there was no answer.What do you think about it:
Boris Yeltsin died a few days ago. Somehow he reminds me of the situation in the UK. He created a Russian parliament within the Soviet Union. Very soon it became obvious that there could not be two sets of state institutions functioning at the same time. However, Russia was what people wanted, not the Soviet Union.
On a much smaller scale, people in the UK are facing a choice whether they want to have a UK-parliament or the island divided into three countries each having a parliament of its own. If there ever was an English parliament that would be the end of the UK just like the emergence of a Russian parliament and government destroyed the Soviet Union.
