Our elected politicians never cease to amaze and astound us.Many of us suspect that the intended introduction of ID cards to defend us in the "war on terror" and the reasons why it must be so are not quite as plausible as Tony's cronies would have the gullible believe.Perhaps the more intelligent amongst us would be more inclined to believe that lucrative multi billion $ contracts awarded to private concerns by government for beezness to consult,service,supply,organise and provide the necessary equipment for such a huge undertaking would be a more truthful explanation. One wonders if the necessary IT and software provision would be suitable or cost effective for this huge undertaking at great expense to us, judging by past performances a positive outlook is very dubious indeed. I do not believe the politicians are competent or have a grasp of reality on this matter, responsible they are most definatly not.
Isn't it amazing how ignorant and gullible most of our politicians are in matters technical or are there other reasons for them choosing their preferred options? Beezness perhaps?
I saw this on an internet site which I often visit an as yer man say's" You couldn't make it up." Apparently the New Labour Council Leader of Edinburgh Toon, Mr Donald Anderson told a reporter on the staff of the Evening News newspaper that he was seriously considering the use of DNA technology in the forensic testing of dog Sh*te. What a wonderful grasp of reality some of our politicians possess,the concept of cost alone is mind numbing.Aye,right enough,politicians talking sh*te again as usual.This particular specimen of politician Wants us to elect him to Holyrood,Aye right.

Ha, saw that article about the testing dog s***e dna! Edinburgh council is a joke. They have no sense of perspective. They decide policy on a whim, looking for catchy headlines. Meanwhile wasting millions. Edinburgh is prospering despite Labour in Edinburgh, not because of them.
