Of course English people should celebrate their identity and be proud of their history ... but remember ... that at heart that average Englishman is a mongrel, born of Angles, Saxons, Jutes, Germans, Celtic, Italian, Asian, African ... immigration is nothing new and the mixing of races goes away back.

The only non Muggle pure bloods these days day are mostly insane because they didn't dip even their toes much in the gene-pool, let alone wallow in it like the lower orders. Of course, I mean we upper class types, week-chinned pure blood Norman aristos. God himself made us.

Every other human being is a product of natural selection and the mixing of the human stock has been necessary to produce the modern intelligent, smart with gadgets, human being.

So everyone who revels in stupid Nationalism by reason of blood heritage can get off their high horses and leave that to those who really are superior (thick, but superior!) ... your betters with the land, money and castles. Very Happy

I'm a little confused, "We are English" fair enough but the T shirt says Anglo-Saxon: these things are not the same so: which is it? Is the old of conflation of British/english being replaced by another? Incidentally were not the Angles and saxons different germanic peoples rather than a single ethnic or national group? So is not Anglo-Saxon a form of ethnic elision?
