The figures I'ves een SLG say that 24% of Labour voters support independence.
I would assume that figure would be much lower among Labour councillors and I would dispute khraeigh's assertion about North Ayrshire Councillors.
My experience of them is died in the wool Labour.

I never knew that about Irvine council. |
Well, they say that 40% of Labour voters support independence. I'm not sure how that extends to Labour councillors. In Edinburgh one of the Labour councillors just defected to the SNP. I'm sure there are many more out there. It's just a shame they let their party leaders mis-represent them. |

To both - I would say it would be more that support it. There is a simple way to find out, that is a referendum.
To Rinty - I work quite closely with NA Councillors and can assure you that they are very nationalistic. I was surprised myself, being of the assumption you were. _________________ Alba Gu Brath!

the figures i've seen suggest that support for independence amongst labour voters is much higher - 40% if I remember correctly. _________________ "Every single person on this planet is unique. Just like everyone else..." - Random Guy in Edinburgh Pub

If I remember right the SNP took a 23.8% of the Vote in 2003. Support for independance is at 54% last time I checked(might have changed).
That means a good proportion of the other parties support independence. |
